Shipping & Returns Policy.

Orders

Once you have placed an order with HelmWear you will receive a notification email informing you that we have received the order and payment has been settled. When your item(s) is/are ready to ship, a despatch notice will follow via email. Our aim is to have the order packed and despatched to you within 48 hours. 

Delivery

HelmWear delivers to the UK, Europe and worldwide. 

Postage Charges

All orders will incur a shipping charge of £4.99 within the UK, £14.99 to mainland Europe and £24.99 for international shipping. Charges are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT). These charges are unfortunately non-refundable when an order is cancelled after your order has been shipped. We aim to have your order delivered to you within 5-7 working days from the time you place your order (for the UK and mainland Europe) and approximately 10-14 working days for international delivery. Once an order has been despatched, HelmWear is unable to amend the delivery location or redirect your order. We hope you understand that as a start-up, we don't necessarily have the technology or systems to amend delivery details once the order has been despatched. Please Note: Orders crossing borders may incur local duties or taxes. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Subsequently, these potential charges are not included in your order payment and will need to be paid locally upon receipt. Please contact your local customs office if you need further information before placing your order. Thank you. 

Returns & Exchanges

HelmWear is solely an eCommerce business so we pride ourselves on our customer service. We aim to please every customer with our consciously made brand. When making a purchase, please do refer to the Size Guide to ensure the piece you order is the correct fit. If you do need to exchange any item(s), you can do so at any point within 14 days of receipt of the goods. The item(s) must be in their original state, unused and packaging on receipt of returned item(s). We're passionate about the environment so to reduce the use of single-use plastic, please ensure you use the original packing when returning your item(s). If you wish to exchange an item, please email customerservice@helmwear.co.uk. We will email you an exchange/return form and posting instructions. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer freepost returns so it is the customers responsibility to pay for the return cost. Please ensure the parcel is package securely and the form enclosed. We advise that you send the parcel 'tracked and signed-for' and obtain a receipt and proof of postage certification when sending your parcel back to us. This is important in case anything goes awry while in transit. These things can happen! From receipt of your parcel, it usually takes 5-10 working days to process your exchange.

Exchanges from outside Europe

When exchanging items from outside of Europe, please get in touch at customerservice@helmwear.co.uk. We will email you an exchange form and posting instructions. Customers will be asked to use a shipping service or courier that provides tracking. Returns sent via a courier should have a signed pro forma invoice attached outside the parcel. HelmWear is not liable to pay customs, duty and/or VAT incurred on returned items. Please mark your international return as 'UK returned goods'.

Faulty Goods

At HelmWear, we truly hope that you never experience a damaged or faulty item since every piece goes through a rigorous quality control check before it is packaged before despatch. However, if you feel there is a manufacturing fault or you receive an incorrect order, please contact us immediately via email at customerservice@helmwear.co.uk. This is so we can personally assist you and resolve the problem as quickly as possible. HelmWear will reimburse you for the postage cost of your returned parcel if your item(s) is/are faulty or been packaged incorrectly. 

Cancellation of Orders

HelmWear accept cancellation of orders from the time when the order has been placed online to before it's despatched. If your order has been shipped unfortunately you will have to return the item(s) for a refund. Please follow the steps above. If your order has not yet been shipped, you will receive a refund. In order to cancel your order you will need to email customerservice@helmwear.co.uk referencing your order number and details of your purchase. Once the cancellation has been made, we will provide an address to which you MUST send back the parcel within 10 working days. We recommend using a tracked postage service and for you to keep the receipt until you received the returned funds. HelmWear are not responsible for any returns parcels lost in transit. Therefore we advise using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. Please note: The shipping cost incurred for shipping the item(s) to HelmWear are NOT covered or reimbursed by us. Once the parcel is safely received and checked at HelmWear, your refund will be issued. Refunds are processed within 7-10 working days of receipt of the parcel. We will endeavour to send you an email confirmation when a refund has been issued. Please note: Refunds can only be issued back to the original payment method.
